Resident/Fellow Education and Training at Vanderbilt

Within the Section of Surgical Sciences we have over 170 trainees in eight accredited residency programs and eight advanced training fellowships. Staff supporting these programs assist in applicant interview and selection; new resident orientation; scheduling, presentations and equipment procurement for resident activities, such as frequent skills labs, poster printing, etc; preparation of Morbidity and Mortality Improvement (M&MI) reports; Grand Rounds, Resident Teaching conference and Bonus conference management. Education Support also provides oversight to medical students studying surgical sciences.
