Hunter Whiteside graduated from Murray State University with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and joined the Vanderbilt Student Health Center in 2025.

Jessica has over 20 years of experience in healthcare as a CNA and MLT. She has been a Medical Laboratory Technician since 2011 and joined the Vanderbilt Student Health Center in 2025.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and making new memories. She loves the beach, pool, and warm sunny days!
Kandice joined Student Health in 2023.
Patti joined the Student Health Center in 2024.

Dr. Atwater attended UCLA for her undergraduate degree, majoring in History/Art History. She attended Columbia University for her Postbaccalaureate Premed Certificate, and the University of Texas at Houston for her medical degree. She completed her internal Medicine residency at Vanderbilt University. She has worked as an Internist at Vanderbilt University Medical Center since completing residency and joined the Student Health Center in November 2024 as Medical Director.
Dr. Atwater's clinical interests are chronic disease management, addressing both mental and physical health, building healthy habits/preventative care, and shared decision-making with patients.
Outside of work, Dr. Atwater is married and has two school aged children. In her free time, she enjoys being outside, reading, doing crossword puzzles, and spending time with her family.

Dr. Scott is a graduate of St. Louis University. He completed his residency at Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center, followed by his fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine at Harvard University. He is board certified in Sports Medicine.
He is currently Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery for the division of Sports Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He is a Team Physician for the Nashville Sounds and serves as a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AA)), American Medical Society for Sports Medicine (AMSSM), and AAP Council on Sports Medicine and Fitness.
Dr. Scott joined the Student Health Center in 2024.

Kandice joined Student Health in 2024 and has been a nurse for almost a decade.
She enjoys spending time with her two children, traveling to Disney World, and also playing softball. Kandice is passionate about Austism Awareness.
Nicole joined Vanderbilt University Medical Center in June 2008 and has been at Student Health since April of 2024.
She is the proud mother of two boys-- ages 25 and 15.
Haley Turner received her undergraduate degree from Bastyr University in Kenmore, Washington and completed her dietetic internship at Vanderbilt University. She joined the SHC in 2023 and is interested in integrative and functional nutrition. She lives outside Nashville with her husband and three boys and enjoys gardening, photography, and sewing.
