Influenza Vaccinations for Students

  • Get your flu shot - The Student Health Center will offer the flu vaccine beginning Monday, September 1st.
    • Once available, walk in between 8AM – 4PM with no appointment needed. We will also offer "After Hours Flu Shot Clinics" on Saturday, October 25th from 10AM - 1PM and Monday, October 27th from 5:30 – 7 PM.
    • There is no cost for the flu shot—just bring your Student ID and wear short sleeves.
    • We will offer Fluarix - Standard dose, trivalent inactivated vaccine (TIV) for individuals 6 months to 64 years of age. This vaccine is preservative free.
    • People with an egg allergy CAN receive this vaccine, as egg allergy is not a contraindication to Fluarix.
  • Cover your mouth and nose- When you are with others or alone, cough or sneeze with a disposable tissue or into your sleeve.
     
  • Wash your hands regularly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
     
  • Don't share silverware, dishes, cups and glasses with anybody else.
     
  • Mask up if you have flu-like symptoms (cough, sore throat, fever, chills, headache, runny or stuffy nose, soreness & aching in back, arms, legs).
     

If you have a fever or flu-like symptoms or have been in close contact with someone who has been diagnosed with the flu or COVID-19, visit us at the Student Health Center.  As always, please put on a mask when arriving at the SHC.
