Jessie Merritt was born and raised on US Army bases prior to transitioning to civilian life in Huntington, WV. Her interest primarily include the mitigation of psychological trauma particularly within the runaway homeless youth population. Beyond the topics of trauma and child and adolescent psychiatry she has additional interests in preventative psychiatry, serving the homeless/LGBTQI populations, and education. In her free time, she enjoys kickboxing, trail running, yoga, and spending time with her cat, and dog.
