There are now almost 200 faculty members affiliated with our department.
The primary faculty members are engaged in psychiatric research and patient care and many of them teach students, residents and fellows at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine.
The secondary faculty members hold a primary appointment in another department at Vanderbilt University and/or Vanderbilt University Medical Center and enhance the scholarship of our department through scientific collaborations and teaching.
The volunteer faculty members are mental health clinicians (psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurses) in the Nashville area, who support the teaching in our department with their wide-ranging expertise. The volunteer faculty members also include a few academic psychiatrists at other institutions who hold an adjoint or adjunct appointment in our department.
