Vanderbilt IT will upgrade the telephone system on Sunday, Feb. 3, at 4 a.m. The upgrade will take approximately one hour to complete. During this time, the telephone system will be unavailable. This outage will affect all regular phones (including Lync/Skype for Business phones) at the Medical Center.

Enterprise Cybersecurity at Vanderbilt University Medical Center is replacing the Virtual Private Network (VPN) client for employees who need to access Medical Center resources from offsite on February 26, 2019. The new client, F5/BIG-IP Edge, will replace the existing VPN client, Pulse Secure, which will continue to be available until March 19th. Beginning, Friday, February 18th, Pulse Secure users will begin seeing an announcement about the replacement as they sign in.

The Vanderbilt University Medical Center email and Skype account migrations began in August and are underway with several departments migrating each week. The migration is the last of three steps for Information Technology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s project to move all employees to the Microsoft Office 365 cloud environment.

All VUMC employees are eligible to use Microsoft Office 365 (O365).  Employees can use the software on up to five PCs or Macs, five tablets, and five smartphones at the office and at home for VUMC-related work. If you have not received your Microsoft Office upgrade, please contact the Help Desk at 615-343-HELP (3-4357). After you receive your upgrade, go to https://portal.office.com, log in, and click Install Office apps in the upper right corner of the screen to install Office on your home computer.

Kivuto, the company that hosts the VUMC Software Store, is updating the store platform on Tuesday, December 11, between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM.  During this time, Kivuto will display a message indicating that the store is temporarily unavailable to customers.

On Wednesday, November 28, 2018, at 9:00 p.m., VUMC Enterprise Cybersecurity will replace the SSL certificate used during the authentication process for Medical Center users connecting to the VUMCEmployee wireless network.  This change should cause no disruption to most end-users.
