Overview

Most IT projects within the Medical Center begin with a Customer Relationship Manager (CRM). Your CRM serves as a single point of access and accountability between VUMC IT and Leadership across the Vanderbilt University Medical Center. They reach out, engage and listen to you as a customer, and across internal and external channels, to ensure the seamless success of your project.

Customer Relationship Managers help shape requests and prepare them for Governance. They use a platform called Planview, an enterprise resource and portfolio management software for IT, product development, and services, that allows users to see opportunities, prioritize, and use limited resources. Additionally, CRMs can serve as an escalation point for the Medical Center for service failure or high priority requests.
