Dr. Laura Burkhart completed medical school at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM and residency at the Texas A&M Christus Spohn Family Medicine program in Corpus Christi, TX. She completed an Adolescent Medicine Fellowship and LEAH (Leadership Education in Adolescent Health) fellowship at Seattle Children’s Hospital, and Masters of Public Health at the University of Washington in Health Services.
Dr. Burkhart’s clinical interests include the medical care of patients who have experienced sexual violence, eating disorders, reproductive health and LGBTQI care.
Dr. Burkhart lives in Nashville with her husband, daughter, pug and Boston terrier. She joined SHC in 2017.
