Student Health currently offers the Moderna (Spikevax) 2025-2026 Formula COVID vaccine to students enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP).
This vaccine is available by appointment only by calling Student Health at (615) 322-2427. Same-day appointments are not available. Students not enrolled in SHIP are not eligible for the vaccine at the Student Health Center and will need to obtain the vaccine at a retail pharmacy such as CVS or Walgreens or at another health care facility.
There is no COVID-19 vaccine requirement for enrollment at Vanderbilt University or to participate in activities at Vanderbilt Health, including clinical rotations for nursing and medical students.
The COVID-19 vaccine is recommended for students with underlying medical conditions that raise the risk of severe COVID infection or who wish to be vaccinated using shared decision making.
