Student Health will soon be offering the updated 2026-2027 COVID vaccine for students enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP). This page will be updated when the vaccine is available at Student Health.
When this vaccine is available, it will be by appointment only by calling Student Health at (615) 322-2427. Same-day appointments are not available. Students not enrolled in SHIP are not eligible for the vaccine at the Student Health Center and will need to obtain the vaccine at a retail pharmacy such as CVS or Walgreens or at another health care facility.
There is no COVID-19 vaccine requirement for enrollment at Vanderbilt University or to participate in activities at Vanderbilt Health, including clinical rotations for nursing and medical students.
The COVID-19 vaccine is recommended for students with underlying medical conditions that raise the risk of severe COVID infection or who wish to be vaccinated using shared decision making.
