Dr. Marnett’s responsibilities include oversight for operations and strategic development of the basic sciences and graduate education throughout the Medical Center, and in coordination with the University, shared institutes and centers.
Dr. Marnett also works to develop and support new translational research programs while directing his own active research program focused on the role of the enzyme cyclooxygenase-2 in cancer and inflammation, as well as on the contribution of oxidative metabolism to the generation of DNA damage and mutation.
