Tanna chose to join Vanderbilt for its reputation as a Magnet facility, recognize for personalized patient care and its emphasis on evidence-based practice and education. After completing a nurse residency program and two years of ICU experience at Medical City in Dallas, Tanna moved to Nashville to begin her career as a bedside nurse in the Surgical ICU. Since 2012, Tanna has had many incredible mentors and growth opportunities in nursing and leadership including the VUMC Administrative Nursing Fellowship program. She has taken advantage of the professional development resources available like the clinical advancement ladder, support for professional certifications, and tuition reimbursement to earn her master's degree.

For Tanna, the most rewarding part of being a nurse leader at VUH is the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients while working with our exceptional and talented teams.
