  • ConnectCARE*CISM Debriefing: (Leaders and Faculty) Work-Life Connections/EAP is providing effective and timely Criticial Incident Stress Management (CISM) services for the Vanderbilt community using phone or Zoom Telehealth videoconferencing, an encrypted and confidential platform.   • WyndyIf you are in need of one-day backup childcare, this babysitting app can help. Please note, Wyndy is not subsidized by VUMC.
  • TN Department of Human Services - Child Care for School-Aged Children of Essential Workers:  TDHS has partnered with the YMCA and the Boys & Girls Clubs in Tennessee to establish free temporary child care for school-aged children of essential workers. Financial Assistance During COVID-19:

  • United Way COVID-19 Community Economic Relief Fund: Individuals in need may contact the United Way COVID-19 Community Economic Relief Fund by calling 1-866-211-9966. After providing your zip code, you will be given a list of local agencies that are providing assistance with bills, rent and food.
  • Vanderbilt Faculty & Staff Hardship Fund: Administered by Work-Life Connections/EAP for Vanderbilt employees in temporary financial hardship who qualify for assistance. The COVID-19 pandemic has financially impacted many families, especially with more mouths to feed at home. Call 615-936-1327 to begin the application process.
  • Nashville Financial Empowerment Centers: Providing free, in-depth information on financial disaster recovery for residents of Davidson County affected by the devastating tornadoes that hit Nashville on March 3rd or by the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Metro Action Commission: Need help paying electric or gas bills? The Metropolitan Action Commission may be able to assist Davidson County residents who need help paying for electric or gas bills.
  • Legal Resources During COVID-19: The Legal Aid Society is providing free legal clinics via telephone. Local attorneys will offer advice on questions about housing and renter's rights, bankruptcy, medical bills, debt collection, domestic violence, applying for SNAP benefits and applying for unemployment benefits.

Resources for TeleHealth Support

  • TeleHealth Help Desk:  For technical support, the Telehealth Help Desk is available at 3-HELP (343-4357). Select Option 4 at the prompt.
  • TeleHealth Instruction:  Hosted and On-Demand instructional sessions are available for providers in the Learning Exchange. Access the Learning Exchange here. Click on the search tool (located at the top of the screen) and enter keyword "telehealth" to access the available learning modules.

Resources for Teaching/Meetings (Faculty)

  • ZOOM Accounts through Vanderbilt Medical School:  All faculty with a Vanderbilt.edu email address have been automatically enrolled in the Vanderbilt Medical School professional account through Zoom.  By signing in with your VU ID and password (NOT your VUMC ID/password) you can take advantage of >40 minute conference calls, larger numbers of participants and advanced features.  To access, visit VU Video Conferencing and then click the blue "Sign In" button to activate and configure your account.  Remember to use your VU ID (not VUMC ID) to sign in. To take advantage of tip sheets offered by the Medical School IT folks, feel free to visit VSTAR at VUSM.
