The Advanced Practice Wellness Program (APWP)

The Advanced Practice Wellness Program (APWP)

In 2023, Work/Life Connections-EAP launched a specialized program focused on the well-being of our Advanced Practice Professionals (APP). Similar to our Faculty and Physicians Wellness Program (FPWP) and Nurse Wellness Program (NWP), this program recognizes the distinct pressures and stressors faced by these professions. The Advanced Practice Wellness Program (APWP) is available to provide psychological support to VUMC Advanced Practice Professionals and their spouses.

Advanced Practice Professionals are critical to achieving excellence in healthcare, research, and education at VUMC.  Advanced Practice Professionals(APPs) include nurse practitioners (NPs), physician assistants (PAs), certified nurse midwives (CNMs), clinical pharmacists (PharmD), clinical psychologists (PhD), and certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNA).

The Advanced Practice Wellness Program of Work/Life Connections-EAP provides confidential counseling, coaching, critical incident stress management debriefings, and resilience skill training in-person and through our ConnectCARE telehealth option. Located in the basement of the Medical Arts Building, Work/Life Connections-EAP offers free and confidential services to VUMC employees and their spouses.

Please call 615-936-1327 to schedule an initial assessment to determine what service best meets your needs.
