Senior Program Manager,
Ambulatory Magnet

My VUMC nursing career began in 2008 in a specialty care clinical nurse role within Ambulatory Medicine with my BSN degree. I chose VUMC based on its distinguished reputation of exemplary patient care and continual growth in the industry. My eagerness to support the mission and vision of VUMC was recognized by several nurse leaders and colleagues who thoughtfully encouraged me to pursue higher education. After faithfully serving over 20 years as a registered nurse, I achieved my Master of Science in Nursing degree in 2018. Following this accomplishment, I have been afforded several meaningful professional growth opportunities in leadership. Being a nurse at VUMC requires engagement alongside the willingness to adapt and grow. I feel this requirement is one of the best parts of being a nurse leader at VUMC given the continual change in the industry standards and population served. There is little room for mediocrity within the culture of VUMC as our goal is to consistently exceed expectations.
