Shoreen (“Vena/V”) Davis, MSN, RN
Manager, Patient Care Services
Adult 3
Vanderbilt Psychiatric Hospital
My career has taken me from EMT to ED nursing, critical care, nurse management, and psychiatric nursing. Each role has provided important lessons and contributed to the nursing leader that I am today. I am grateful for the opportunities I have had throughout my career and look forward to continuing to grow professionally while supporting patients, staff, and the organization. In addition to my professional responsibilities, I remain committed to continuing my education. I have already earned my Master of Science in Nursing degree and am currently working on my doctoral degree. Advancing my education is important to me because it will allow me to further strengthen my leadership abilities, expand my knowledge, and continue contributing to the nursing profession at a higher level. I think the best parts of being a nurse leader at VUMC are the people I get to work with and the resources that are available to everyone.
