The purpose of the VBH Nursing Professional Development Board (NPDB) is to unite and encourage the professional development of nursing staff across Vanderbilt Behavioral Health. NPDB brings together representatives from multiple units for idea sharing and to distribute information to staff.
The goals of the VBH NPDB are:
- Information sharing including research updates, resources, and evidence-based practice
- Provide a sense of ownership and a process for staff to have a voice in professional development
- Recognize and celebrate staff performing exemplary work
- Generate interest in and increase access to professional development opportunities
