Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences Presents "The Imposter Syndrome: Guidance for You and Those You Mentor" featuring

Adam Guttentag, MD, Associate Professor of Clinical Radiology, received designation as Fellow of the American College of Radiology (FACR) over the weekend during ACR’s 2021 virtual Annual Meeting.

Brent Savoie, MD, JD, Associate Professor in the Department Radiology, has been appointed Faculty Adviser of the Honor Council of Vanderbilt University School of Medicine (VUSM). He succeeds Kate Payne, JD, RN, NC-BC, who held the position for several years until her unexpected passing earlier this year.

Reed Omary, MD, MS, Carol D. and Henry P. Pendergrass Professor and Chair of Radiology, was inducted into the Association of University Radiologists (AUR) College of Fellows during the 2021 AUR Meeting last week. 

The Department of Radiology recently announced chief residents for the Diagnostic Radiology (DR) and Integrated Interventional Radiology (IR) class of 2022. Third-year DR resident Drs. Emily Lippincott and Shuai Yuan, and fourth-year IR resident Drs. Casey Cable, Janesh Lakhoo and Alan North, will assume their roles as chief residents for their respective residency training programs starting in June.

The Department of Radiology is excited to share results of the 2021 Main Residency Match, which were publicly released today by the National Resident Match Program (NRMP). The Diagnostic Radiology (DR) and Integrated Interventional Radiology (IR) residency programs successfully filled its full allotment of available slots. The nine matched residents – six for DR and three for IR – are expected to begin their residency training following completion of their internship year in July 2022. They are:

The Department of Radiology recently announced new leadership for its inpatient service lines. Jake Block, MD, Associate Professor of Radiology, will serve as Executive Medical Director for Vanderbilt Radiology. Colin McKnight, MD, Assistant Professor of Radiology, will serve as Medical Director of Inpatient Radiology for Vanderbilt University Hospital.

Morgan Anderson, MD, Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiology, has been appointed Medical Director of Vanderbilt Imaging Services (VIS).

On Monday, May 10, 2021, the Department of Radiology will host a Grand Rounds lecture by Aparna Joshi, MD, Clinical Assistant Professor of Radiology at the University of Michigan.
