Claudio Cavallo, MD

CavalloClaudio Cavallo, MD was born and raised in Milan, Italy. He earned his medical degree graduating cum laude from the University of Pavia, Italy and subsequently conducted two years of research as a Robert F. Spetzler neurosurgery fellow at the world-renowned Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, AZ.  

During this time, Claudio investigated the contribution of fluorescent agents in neurosurgical oncology and other advances to maximize intra-operative resection of brain tumors.  He also developed an interest in 3D printing and modeling that led to the optimization of 3D-printed skull base. 

In addition to neurosurgical oncology, his current interest is mainly focused on clinical and anatomical research in complex cerebrovascular and skull base surgery. 

In his free time, Claudio enjoys traveling with his wife, playing classic piano, and sailing. He also takes an interest in Russian literature and modern art."
