Microsoft Office 365 Home Use Benefit

All VUMC employees are eligible to use Microsoft Office 365 (O365).  Employees can use the software on up to five PCs or Macs, five tablets, and five smartphones at the office and at home for VUMC-related work. If you have not received your Microsoft Office upgrade, please contact the Help Desk at 615-343-HELP (3-4357). After you receive your upgrade, go to https://portal.office.com, log in, and click Install Office apps in the upper right corner of the screen to install Office on your home computer.

Microsoft Software Activation

Two years ago, VUMC IT deployed a Microsoft KMS server for activating Office, Project, Visio, Windows Client, and Windows Server.  We recently discovered that some Medical Center devices are activating against the university’s KMS server rather than the Medical Center’s KMS server.  If you provide desktop support for one or more Medical Center departments, please check the devices you support to make sure they have auto-discovery enabled.
