Finding a Hobby to Help You Recenter

Hobbies are a great way to reduce a person's stress levels, improve moods, and reduce the risk of depression. They also help you focus on the present instead of worrying about tomorrow's to-do list. Whether you like to paint, garden, bake, play an instrument, or hike, it's important to find something that brings you joy.

Studies have shown individuals with hobbies have a higher quality of life, lower levels of anxiety, and an overall healthier emotional, mental, and physical well-being. Make sure you choose a hobby that fits you and your needs. If you relax and refocus better in a group setting, join a club or a group activity. If you like a quiet space to yourself, there are plenty of activities you can do solo such as reading or painting. Whatever you decide, start a new hobby today and support your emotional and mental wellbeing!
