Have you ever had a great idea to improve Epic or make a clinical workflow safer, smarter, or less burdensome....but weren't sure how to turn it into reality? Ideas to Impact is here to help! Join our clinical informatics challenge to receive expert mentoring, structured guidance, and hands-on support to refine your idea, assess feasibility, and develop a strong, actionable intervention for change.
This is our first year of this challenge, and we are still refining our program, but VCLIC is prepared to offer participants mentorship (from clinical, informatics, and other project-related subject matter experts), structured templates and guidance, office hours for intervention design and evaluation, and support for data extraction and Epic build, if needed.
Tentative Timeline/Project Life Cycle:
- February: Program kickoff and project launch
- March: Problem definition and proposal refinement
- April: Current-state assessment through data extraction and analysis
- May: Solution design and planning
- June: Solution build and implementation
- July: Testing and iteration
- August: Evaluation and outcome assessment
- September: Project presentations at InformaticCon
