Meaghan Dendy Case, MD, MA, received her medical degree from Drexel University in 2017.

For residency, Dr. Dendy Case trained in diagnostic and interventional radiology at Yale School of Medicine, serving as Chief Resident for interventional radiology. 

Prior, Dr. Dendy Case attended Wesleyan University, where she completed her undergraduate studies in both biology and neuroscience. She received her master's degree in biotechnology from Columbia University.

Before attending medical school, Dr. Dendy Case worked as a Senior Scientist at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, a Lab Technician at Columbia University Medical Center, and as a Thoracic Surgery Research Associate at Yale University. She joined VUMC Radiology's interventional radiology section as an Assistant Professor in 2023.

Erin Cooke Selected for SCARD-GE Healthcare LEAD Program

Congratulations to Erin Cooke, MD, Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program Director and Associate Professor of Radiology and Radiological Sciences, for being accepted into the 2023-2024 SCARD-GE Healthcare Leading Empowering and Disrupting (LEAD) Program. This program, a joint project by SCARD and GE Healthcare, is a one-year women’s leadership program comprised of 20 female leaders from across the field of radiology. The goal is to increase the number of women in leadership positions, building a network of women across radiology and the industry.

VUMC Named Comprehensive Radiopharmaceutical Therapy Center of Excellence

Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) has been designated a Comprehensive Radiopharmaceutical Therapy Center of Excellence by the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging. It is the only such center in Tennessee. The designation affirms that VUMC has been found to have the training, personnel, equipment, and experience needed to manage patients requiring radiopharmaceutical therapy.

Lauren Snider Joins VUMC Radiology as Assistant Professor

VUMC Radiology is excited to announce that Lauren Snider, MD, has joined our department as an Assistant Professor. Dedicating most of her time to the Vanderbilt community hospitals, Dr. Snider will work with our various regional hospitals and their onsite breast imaging services. Dr. Snider is a graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina, where she also completed her residency in diagnostic radiology. Most recently, Dr. Snider completed a fellowship in Breast Imaging at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.

Andrew Marsala Joins VUMC Radiology as Assistant Professor

The Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences is happy to share that Andrew Marsala, MD, has joined our team as an Assistant Professor in Interventional Radiology. Dr. Marsala joins us from New Orleans, where he served as a Senior Physician and Interventional Radiologist at Ochsner Health. He is a graduate of LSU School of Medicine, where he graduated third in his class. Dr. Marsala completed his residency as Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and his fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at UCLA.
