Adam Hartman, MD

Dr. Adam Hartman is an Assistant Professor of Neurology in the Stroke Division at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, as well as the Program Director for the department’s growing Teleneurology program. He is highly involved in the education of the department’s trainees. Dr. Hartman has been certified in Neurology from the American Board of Psychology and Neurology since 2020. Dr. Hartman is a member of the Tennessee Medical Association and the Texas Medical Association.

Prior to his position at VUMC, Dr. Hartman served as a neuro-hospitalist and Assistant Professor with the Duke University Hospital System. He completed his fellowship in vascular neurology in 2021 at the University of Colorado Anschutz. He received his neurology residency training at VUMC, serving as chief resident his senior year. Dr. Hartman earned his M.D. from the University of Texas Medical Branch Galveston, and his B.A. in Political Science from Rice University. 

As a native of Austin, Texas, Dr. Hartman likes to spend his free time hiking and exploring the outdoors with his husband and their dog.
