Matlab 2009a is available as a free upgrade to licensed users through Vanderbilt's Matlab site license. Release 2009a includes new features in MATLAB and Simulink, and updates and bug fixes to 91 other products. R2009a adds new capabilities for multicore support, surface fitting, design optimization, and CAN protocol communication.
