Being physically active is one of the best ways to keep our bodies healthy and improve our overall well-being. This spring, join Health Plus in getting more Active in April with three opportunities to help you increase activity that can easily fit into your daily routine.
National Walking Day - Wednesday, April 5
Join Health Plus in celebrating National Walking Day on April 5! Visit the National Walking Day Fair in the plaza outside Langford Auditorium from 11am-1pm. Attendees can receive information on Health Plus physical activity programming and participate in a raffle to win $25 gift cards! On-site Walks will be lead across the Vanderbilt campus, beginning at approximately 11:15am, 11:45am, 12:15pm, 12:45pm, and last 20 minutes.
Not on-site at VUMC? No problem! Just submit your Walking Day activity digitally to receive entry into the raffle! Submit your activity via Redcap here.
Active in April Step Challenge – April 1-30
Compete with colleagues or just have fun recording your steps for a chance to win great prizes. The more steps you accumulate, the more prize drawing entries you receive! Here's how it works: Register beginning March 27. Record daily steps April 1-30 digitally with MyCap, syncing with Fitbit, or logging manually with a document provided by Health Plus. Win one of 20 $25 eGift cards!
Health Plus Pacers – Beginning April 2
Health Plus Pacers is a VUMC community walking & running club! Participate in a weekly Health Plus onsite walk or run with colleagues, or digitally document your personal walk or run for the week to help foster a culture of physical activity. VUMC employees who meet participation goals can earn a Health Plus Pacers t-shirt! Health Plus Pacers begins April 2 and runs through October 28. Learn more about Health Plus Pacers.
