Dr. Scott Nelson, PharmD, MS is a pharmacist and Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Informatics at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Dr. Nelson currently works in Medication Safety Informatics, with a focus on medication reconciliation, e-prescribing, and clinical decision support at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Dr. Nelson's practice and research interests include clinical decision support, knowledge management and engineering, standards and terminologies, health information exchange, information needs, drug-drug interactions, EHR design, CPOE, e-prescribing, medication reconciliation, outcomes research, and cost-effectiveness/economic modeling.
