Lindsey Knake, MD

MS Postdoctoral Student
Biomedical Informatics

Lindsey Knake completed her Biomedical Engineering degree from the University of Iowa in 2011 where her research involved software development for digital human modeling. During medical school at the University of Iowa, her research interests shifted towards clinical informatics and the use of automated data extractions from the electronic health record (EHR) to research clinical questions. Dr. Knake is currently completing her fellowship in Neonatology and her Master of Science degree in Biomedical Informatics at Vanderbilt University. Her research interests include improving the usability of the EHR for both clinicians and researchers and implementing useful and timely clinical decision support algorithms. Her master’s thesis project is titled “Implementation of Clinical Decision Support for Neonatal Mechanical Ventilation.”
