Kaitlin Williamson, MD, is a clinical fellow in Pediatric Infectious Diseases, as well as a master’s degree student in the Department of Biomedical Informatics at Vanderbilt. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina and completed medical school and pediatric residency at Baylor College of Medicine, where her research and quality improvement efforts centered on risk factors for infection in pediatric cancer, and leveraging the EMR to improve treatment for pediatric sepsis. Her current interests are in risk prediction of infection in high risk pediatric patients. Her master’s project is entitled, “Predicting Post-Operative Infection Following Pediatric Cardiac Surgery.”
