Jake Hughey is an Assistant Professor of Biomedical Informatics and Biological Sciences. His group uses computation to learn about the biomedical world from data. One of their interests is the intersection of informatics and laboratory medicine. In their first foray into this area, they developed and validated an approach to use EHR data to discover medications that cause spurious results on urine drug screens.
