Jason is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he specializes in general and bariatric surgery. He is the recipient of a K23 NIH career development grant and serves as the Principal Investigator of the GRABS trial, which investigates adjuvant tirzepatide after gastric bypass surgery. His research focuses on developing optimal strategies for integrating obesity pharmacotherapy and surgical interventions into a comprehensive multimodal treatment paradigm for patients with obesity, with particular emphasis on leveraging electronic health record systems to enhance clinical trial design and implementation.
