Lyndsay Nelson, PhD

Dr. Lyndsay Nelson is a Research Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of General Internal Medicine and Public Health. She is social and health psychologist with expertise in digital health, behavioral intervention development, and implementation science. Dr. Nelson’s research focuses on promoting self-management for individuals with type 2 diabetes through technology-delivered interventions. Her work involves evaluating the usability, effectiveness, and implementation of digital health programs, with particular emphasis on understanding and promoting user engagement. A central goal of her research is to develop scalable, evidence-based strategies that support equitable participation in an increasingly digital healthcare environment. Dr. Nelson currently serves as Director of Digital Health Research and Engagement in the Division of General Internal Medicine and Public Health, where she leads efforts to advance the development, evaluation, and implementation of patient-centered digital health programs.
