Lori A. Deitte, MD, FACR, FAAR

As a Professor of Radiology, the Vice Chair of Education, and the VUMC Vice President for Continuous Professional Development, Dr. Deitte is active with education at all levels: medical students, residents, fellows and practicing physicians. Dr. Deitte’s institutional leadership responsibilities include overseeing continuing medical education and professional development activities at VUMC. Additional interests include faculty development, Design Thinking, mentoring/sponsoring, and coaching. Dr. Deitte is a nationally recognized speaker and faculty development facilitator. She has co-authored more than 80 peer-reviewed articles and three book chapters. Additionally, she has given more than 170 invited regional, national, and international presentations, including presentations in Romania, Switzerland, Austria, and Israel. Her medical mission work includes two trips to Honduras to teach ultrasound workshops.

Dr. Deitte specializes in body imaging and ultrasound. Her clinical practice includes providing coverage of Vanderbilt’s level I trauma center, with high volume emergency, oncologic, urologic, gynecologic, transplant, and gastrointestinal imaging. She is a regular participant and contributor to Vanderbilt’s multidisciplinary GU Tumor Board.
