Policy on N-95 Respirators and Facial Hair

The delineation of rotations will be as follows:

 

PGY-1:

Inpatient psychiatry: beard allowed
Outpatient medicine: beard allowed
Outpatient neurology: beard allowed
Inpatient internal medicine: need to be clean-shaven
Inpatient pediatrics: need to be clean-shaven
Inpatient neurology: need to be clean-shaven
Emergency medicine: need to be clean-shaven

 

PGY-2:

Inpatient psychiatry: beard allowed
Mental Health Cooperative: beard allowed
Adult consultation-liaison: need to be clean-shaven
Child/Adolescent consultation-liaison: need to be clean-shaven
Night float: need to be clean-shaven
Emergency psychiatric services: need to be clean-shaven
