Dr. Kristina Alton joined the Vanderbilt faculty in July 2025 after completing her psychiatry residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC). During residency she served as a chief resident, developed a collaborative care program with the LGBTQ+ primary care clinic at VUMC, and completed an additional training certificate program in LGBTQ+ Health. She attended medical school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received an undergraduate degree in biology from Emory University.
