Application for Residency

Vanderbilt University accepts applications for the Adult Residency Program through ERAS beginning September 1 each year. The sooner the application is complete, the sooner the applicant may be considered for an invitation to interview.

For a residency applicant to receive full consideration, he/she should have graduated from medical school in the past five (5) years and provide all of the following documents:

  • ERAS application
  • Personal Statement
  • Current CV
  • Medical School Transcript
  • USMLE Score Reports (MD) or COMLEX Score Reports (DO)
  • At least three current letters of recommendation
  • MSPE (as soon as it is available)
  • ECFMG certificate, if applicable

Interviews will begin mid-November and will continue through beginning of January.
