Background
Dr. Rust is originally from Lexington KY. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Clemson University in Clemson, SC. Then went to the University of Louisville, where she received her Medical Degree. Afterwards, she completed her internship in General Surgery and her Residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Kentucky, where she received the Wirtschafter Award for best Resident Teacher. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. In her spare time, she enjoys running and has completed several marathons.
