Microsoft has announced price increases for Office, Project, SQL Server and Sharepoint Server. The increases are expected to take affect when these products are released during May and June this year. The new pricing will be posted in the ITS Software Store when it becomes available.
If you need to avoid paying more for these products in the future, or plan on eventually migrating to the next releases, you might consider buying before May and including software assurance with your purchase. Software assurance includes new version rights and licenses include backward use rights. This gives you the freedom to use a license to run an older version, the current version, or a future version
