Overview

Welcome to the Vanderbilt University Medical Center account claiming page. From this page you will be able to claim your Medical Center account.

Your VUnetID and ePassword will be your login credentials (user name and password) for the majority of systems at the Medical Center.

Vanderbilt University Medical Center's policy on Computer Privileges and Responsibilities applies to all VUnetID related services, applications and resources. 

If you are a Vanderbilt University employee or student, VU Identity is your account claiming system.


New Medical Center Employees

  • Claim Invitation

    Claim your VUMC account. Claiming your invitation is the first step to begin using Medical Center network resources. Click the, Claim Invitation link above to claim your VUnetID. Only users who have been sent a VUMC Invitation are eligible for claiming this type of account. View directions for claiming your invitation.

  • Enter PII 

    NOTE: For security reasons, you must either be on the VUMCEmployee network (automatic if you are working from campus) or on the Vanderbilt Private Network (VPN) if you are not on campus. For information on connecting to VPN visit vumc.org/enterprisecybersecurity/vpn.

    Enter your Personal Identifiable Information (PII). Enter your personal identifiable information only if you are going to be employed by VUMC. View directions for entering your PII.

  • Claim MAC Account

    NOTE: For security reasons, you must either be on the VUMCEmployee network (automatic if you are working from campus) or on the Vanderbilt Private Network (VPN) if you are not on campus. For information on connecting to VPN visit vumc.org/enterprisecybersecurity/vpn

    Use this option if an administrator has created an account for you, and has provided you with your new VUnetID and the associated claim code.  View directions for claiming your MAC Account.

  • VSA List 

    NOTE: For security reasons, you must either be on the VUMCEmployee network (automatic if you are working from campus) or on the Vanderbilt Private Network (VPN) if you are not on campus. For information on connecting to VPN visit vumc.org/enterprisecybersecurity/vpn

    VUnet Services Administrators (VSA’s) can assist you with claiming your account, resetting your password, modifying your personal options, and other facets of managing your VUnet account.

  • Claim Resource Account

  • Claim Test Account
