For the Director of Vanderbilt Anesthesiology & Perioperative Informatics Research (VAPIR) position:

Are you a visionary leader at the intersection of clinical care, informatics, and cutting-edge health research? The Vanderbilt Department of Anesthesiology is seeking an innovative and collaborative Director of Vanderbilt Anesthesiology & Perioperative Informatics Research (VAPIR) to lead one of the nation’s premier anesthesia informatics divisions.

Reporting directly to the Vice Chair for Research, the Director will champion VAPIR’s strategic vision while guiding a talented, multidisciplinary team of statisticians, database administrators, and business intelligence analysts as they transform perioperative data into actionable clinical insights.

In this dynamic and highly visible role, the Director will serve as a key leader within the department and may also serve as an investigator for major multicenter initiatives, including the Multicenter Perioperative Outcomes Group (MPOG) and the ASPIRE Task Force. Through these efforts, the Director will help shape data quality, data sharing, and national standards for perioperative outcomes.
