Sara Harvey Receives Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center STAR Award

Congratulations to Sara Harvey, MD, Associate Professor of Radiology and Radiological Sciences, for being selected as a recipient of the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center (VICC) STAR Award for the year 2023.This annual award recognizes the exceptional contributions of members in the filed of cancer research. Dr. Harvey has received this award for her efforts and leadership among the VICC clinical investigators.

Srigouri Yalamanchili Joins VUMC Radiology as Assistant Professor

VUMC Radiology is excited to welcome Srigouri (Sri) Yalamanchili, MD, to our department as an Assistant Professor of Radiology and Radiological Sciences.Dr. Yalamanchili joins our growing Community Radiology section. She will provide breast imaging coverage for our Vanderbilt regional Hospitals as well as at One Hundred Oaks and Cool Springs Imaging.

Geming Li Joins VUMC Radiology as Associate Professor

VUMC Radiology is proud to welcome Geming Li, MD, MS, to our department as he joins the Nuclear Medicine section as an Associate Professor! Dr. Li comes to Nashville from Shreveport, Louisiana, where he served as the Director of the PET/CT Imaging Center for the Overton Brooks VA Medical Center and Assistant Professor with the Department of Radiology at Louisiana State University School of Medicine. 

VUMC Named Comprehensive Radiopharmaceutical Therapy Center of Excellence for Second Consecutive Year

For the second consecutive year, Vanderbilt University Medical Center has been designated as a Comprehensive Radiopharmaceutical Therapy Center of Excellence by the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging. It remains the only center in Tennessee with the prestigious accolade. The designation affirms that VUMC has been found to have the training, personnel, equipment and experience needed to manage patients requiring radiopharmaceutical therapy. 

Jennifer Williams Named Assistant Medical Director of Vanderbilt Imaging Services

The Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences is happy to share that Jennifer Williams, MD, Associate Professor and Section Chief of Cardiothoracic Imaging, has been named the Assistant Medical Director of Vanderbilt Imaging Services (VIS). VIS facilities provide outpatient imaging services at various locations in Nashville, TN (Hillsboro, Midtown, One Hundred Oaks) and Franklin, TN (Cool Springs). In her new role, Dr. Williams will work alongside Morgan Anderson, MD, Associate Professor and Medical Director of VIS. 

Jessica Leschied Named APD for Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program

The Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences is proud to share that Associate Professor Jessica Leschied, MD, FRCPC, FAAP, has joined the department’s Diagnostic Radiology (DR) residency program’s leadership team as Assistant Program Director (APD). “Dr. Leschied has played an invaluable role in education over the last year,” says Daniel Brown, MD, FSIR, Carol D. and Henry P. Pendergrass Professor and Chair of Radiology and Radiological Sciences. “Becoming an APD for the DR residency is a natural next step for her.”
