VUMC Radiology Research Associate Professor Adam Rosenberg, PhD, has been selected to participate in the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center (VICC) Research Program Fellows Initiative. This program looks to gather talented investigators within Vanderbilt to help enhance the variety of ideas within the VICC decision-making processes and to develop a pipeline of future leaders.

Four faculty researchers were honored on Feb. 12 for their contributions to mentoring and translational science at Vanderbilt University Medical Center during the 2025 Vanderbilt Translational Research Forum.

The Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences is thrilled to welcome  Patrick Vande Lune, MD, back to our team! Dr. Vande Lune, a former Neuroradiology Fellow, has joined our Community Radiology section as an Assistant Professor. 

Richard M Heller, MD, Professor Emeritus of Radiology and Radiological Sciences, founder of Pediatric Radiology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on the evening of Monday, February 3, at the age of 86. 

VUMC Radiology is excited to welcome back Jackiel Mayo, MD, to our department as an Assistant Professor with our Abdominal Imaging section!Dr. Mayo received his medical degree from the University of Cape Town and practiced as a radiologist for many years in South Africa before coming to Vanderbilt in 1994. He completed additional training at VUMC and joined as radiology faculty in 1996.
