Green thinkers and dreamers from anywhere within Vanderbilt University Medical Center are encouraged to apply for a Climate Action and Sustainability Pilot Grant from the Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences.

The Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences is pleased to announce that Rachel Runde, MD, has joined our team as an Assistant Professor. Dr. Runde will join our Community Radiology and Body Imaging sections.  Most recently, Dr. Runde served as an Assistant Professor of Radiology at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. 

Congratulations to Brent Savoie, MD, JD, Associate Professor of Radiology and Radiological Sciences, for receiving a secondary appointment as Associate Professor of Biomedical Informatics. Dr. Savoie says this new collaboration with the department is an exciting step. "I have really enjoyed my experiences with the Department of Biomedical Informatics over the past 6 years," says Dr. Savoie. "I'm eager to assist in inter-departmental collaboration going forward. I’ve found that some of the most interesting and rapid innovation occurs at the intersection of two fields."

Awards for the Annual Association of University Radiologists Meeting have been announced, and two VUMC Radiology members have been highlighted for their work.

A new, one-of-a-kind master’s program is coming to Vanderbilt University that highlights the field of imaging science and gives students insight into the wide array of medical imaging modalities. The Vanderbilt University Institute of Imaging Science has joined with the School of Medicine to create the Master of Imaging Science degree program.
