Dr. Michael Mwachiro MBChB, MPH, FACS, FCS(ECSA) is a surgical endoscopist from Kenya. He is the current chair of the COSECSA Education, Research and Scientific Committee as well as a member of the governing council. He is the current Vice President of the Surgical Society of Kenya. He is also a COSECSA Master Trainer and surgical instructor with the Pan African Academy of Christian Surgeons. He has previously served as the program director of the Tenwek Hospital General Surgery program as well as the Endoscopy Research Program. His research interests are in surgical education and gastrointestinal cancers with a focus on esophageal cancer early detection as well as palliation.
