Sina Madani, MD, PhD, FAMIA

Sina Madani, MD, PhD is a clinical informatician and principal knowledge engineer with HealthIT, who works on data standardization, clinical terminologies, and natural language processing as they apply to automated clinical decision support systems. He currently works on knowledge modeling, with a focus on pharmacogenomics and terminological bindings. He received his PhD in Biomedical Informatics from The University of Texas School of Biomedical Informatics in Houston. He is a current fellow of the American Medical Informatics Association with research interests in natural language processing, standards & terminologies, and knowledge management within Electronic Medical Record systems.
