How to apply - Residency

APPLICATION AND INTERVIEW PROCESS

Applications. All applications to our program must be submitted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).

Your application is complete when all of the following items are received:

  • Application
  • CV
  • Medical school transcript
  • Personal statement
  • Three letters of recommendation (one of which should come from a Urologist who knows you well)
  • USMLE scores (Step 1 at the time of application and Step 2, if available before October 1).

We choose two to three interview dates each year.  There will be a welcome event the night before your interview. Welcome event details will be provided in your information packet.

If you need further information regarding our residency program or the application process, please email our Residency Program Manager, Cody Desaulniers.

Further information about the match process for Urology can be obtained at the American Urological Association Residency Match website.

2023-2024 Applicants

This year we will be using the Residency Central Application as an optional supplement to ERAS.  The CentralApp was started as a free alternative to ERAS in plastic surgery 3 years ago and it is now used specialty wide. We are the first program to trial this platform in urology. We hope that in future years, CentralApp will remove the financial barriers created by progressive application fee structures.  There is no cost to use the CentralApp. In addition, CentralApp promotes holistic application review by focusing on quality application content rather than quantity.

Upon accessing the platform, you will be instructed to create a secure account and will be able to request letters of recommendation, transcripts, and MSPE (Dean's Letters) directly through the portal. The Match will remain with the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP).

Please direct any questions about the application to HELP@accessgme.com.
