Research Information
Dr. Johnson’s research interests are in pre- and post-operatively identifying patients at risk of adrenal insufficiency following adrenalectomy and using this information to optimize enhanced recovery pathways after adrenalectomy. Included among his recent publications in numerous peer-reviewed journals are: “Cosyntropin Stimulation Testing is More Selective than Postoperative Day 1 Basal Cortisol for Diagnosing Secondary Adrenal Insufficiency After Unilateral,” Annals of Surgical Oncology 2024, and “Author Reflections: Continued Refinement of Perioperative Protocols to Predict Secondary Adrenal Insufficiency After Unilateral Adrenalectomy”, Annals of Surgical Oncology 2024.
