Faculty and trainees in the Department of Radiology recently attended the 5th Annual Symposium on Academic Interventional Radiology (AIR) in Washington, D.C. The three-day conference, targeted towards interventional radiology (IR) faculty and trainees, featured a series of keynote presentations, discussions and interactive learning sessions.

The American College of Radiology’s (ACR) Ovarian-Adnexal Imaging Reporting and Data System (O-RADS) Committee, chaired by Rochelle Andreotti, M.D., Professor of Clinical Radiology and Radiological Sciences and Obstetrics and Gynecology, published its first manuscript, “Ovarian-Adnexal Reporting Lexicon for Ultrasound: A White Paper of the ACR Ovarian-Adnexal Reporting and Data System Committee.” 

Aaron (Randy) Brill, M.D., Ph.D., Research Professor of Radiology and Radiological Sciences, was recently named a Fellow of the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI), and a recipient of the 2018 Presidential Distinguished Service Award.

The Department of Radiology partnered this summer with LP PENCIL Box to host a school supply drive benefitting Metro Nashville Public Schools (MNPS) teachers. 

Dominique Delbeke, M.D., Ph.D., Professor of Radiology and Radiological Sciences, has been praised for her contributions leading to the Journal of Nuclear Medicine’s (JNM) highest impact factor to date. The impact factor increased 12 percent, from 6.646 in 2016 to 7.439 in 2017, according to 2017 Journal Citation Reports recently published by Clarivate Analytics. 

Fourth-year Chief Diagnostic Radiology Resident Patrick Couture, M.D., recently participated in the American College of Radiology’s (ACR) Rutherford-Lavanty Fellowship in Government Relations. 

Lori Deitte, M.D., Professor and Vice Chair of Education, Department of Radiology, was recently appointed to the American College of Radiology (ACR) Board of Chancellors as the Chair of the Commission on Publications and Lifelong Learning.
