Hoyt Appointed Associate Program Director for Integrated IR Residency Program

Tamarya Hoyt, M.D., Assistant Professor of Radiology and Radiological Sciences, has been appointed Associate Program Director for the Integrated Interventional Radiology (IR) Residency Program.

This comes as the program is growing increasingly closer to its full complement of 15 residents - one of the largest in the country. Hoyt has served a critical role representing the diagnostic radiology (DR) faculty during the 2018-2019 Integrated IR residency recruitment cycle. This is in addition to the role she has been serving for over a year as the Director of the Vanderbilt Radiology Residency Research Program, coordinating radiology resident research and moderating the Radiology Resident Research Forum.

In Hoyt’s new role, she will join program director Ryan Muller, M.D., and program coordinator Brooke Harvey in the administration of the Integrated IR residency. Her role will be focused on overseeing the three DR years of the Integrated IR residency (R1 – R3), including chairing the clinical competency committee, assessing resident milestones, conducting semiannual reviews, participating in the program evaluation committee and participating in recruitment.

“Dr. Hoyt has brought energy, enthusiasm, and fresh perspective to the IR residency recruitment efforts” said Dr. Muller. “We are thrilled to see our program strengthened through her supervision of the diagnostic portion of the IR resident’s education.”
