Swift Named President of New Light Imaging Services, Vanderbilt Imaging Services

Brenda Swift.jpgBrenda Swift has been named the President of New Light Imaging (NLI), the management services company that operates Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s (VUMC) off-campus joint venture imaging centers, Vanderbilt Imaging Services (VIS).
 

Having more than 15 years of experience with Vanderbilt Health Services (VHS) and VIS, Swift was selected as the top candidate in the organization’s national search to fill the position. She will assume her role beginning March 1, 2017.

“We feel incredibly fortunate to have landed Brenda as our new NLI and VIS leader,” said Rich Pierce, MBA, Chief Finance and Administration Officer, Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences.

Swift first joined VHS in 1998 in the Office of Finance. From 2001 to 2007, she served as the Assistant Director of Finance for VIS. She played a lead role in the startup of NLI and each of the imaging centers in Belle Meade, Cool Springs, Hillsboro, One Hundred Oaks and Spring Hill. Since 2007, she has served as the Director of Finance for VHS, which currently includes 14 joint ventures and wholly owned subsidiaries. Prior to her employment by VUMC, Swift worked for KPMG and was the Supervising Auditor for the VUMC’s Hospitals and Clinics separate audit. 

“Brenda has been a key management team member in NLI and VIS for many years,” added Pierce. “She knows and has the respect of staff and leadership alike and will bring a skill set to VIS that will serve us well in the future.”
