Molecular Diagnostic

Dr. Kang received his Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Medicine from Johns Hopkins University. He completed Laboratory Genetics and Genomics fellowship training at the University of Michigan. He joined the faculty at Vanderbilt in the Division of Lab Medicine in 2023, where his clinical responsibilities include time on the Molecular Diagnostic, Clinical Genomics (Molecular Genetics), and Cytogenetics services.

Research Information

Dr. Kang’s research interests encompass both constitutional and somatic genetic diseases. Current projects include identifying novel disease-associated genes, developing new genetic testing using cutting-edge genetics technology, and examining epigenetic factors of genetic diseases.
